I don’t know if you have already touched on it elsewhere, but when can we expect to hear more about this mic project of yours?
Stoked to hear more details.February 2, 2017 at 1:38 pm #9941
I can’t say too much right now, other than it is like no other harmonica mic you would have seen on the market. It’s been over 3 years in development, and will allow me (and you) to play hands free or hand held at the volumes required when playing with a rock and roll band without introducing feedback.
It has a lot of cool features and you guys (members) will be the first to see it, by April at the latest!

Totally get that you can’t say more about it. One more question though , if we can see it by April, when might it be available to buy!?February 3, 2017 at 2:39 pm #9947

Looking forward to this Mitch 🤗August 1, 2018 at 7:27 pm #11850
The time has finally come for the launch of Dyna-Mic. I have to say it’s been a big learning curve, developing a product like this from scratch, and I apologize for not having my timeline fully worked out in the past. I have been working with a small team here in LA on both development and legal proceedings, and now we’re ready.
So, I am very exited to say that I am launching Dyna-Mic on Kickstarter in two weeks. Thursday, August 16th.
The Facebook page has now over 2.4k likes, and I will be releasing a lot of information through there too, so if you are on facebook please visit and like the Dyna-Mic page to be kept informed. https://www.facebook.com/The.official.dyna.mic/
Finally for those of you interested in supporting the kickstarter and ordering a mic. Note that we are selling the first 100 mics at $229. That’s $140 off retail. So, mark your calendar and get in early for the biggest savings!

i’m excited the mic project has lift off, really looking forward to the mic from the first time you have given us a glimpse of the project 🤗
i do have a questions,
while playing acoustic you have the ability to make great sounds using hand techniques wha wha’s cupping etc…. while playing with a mic are these techniques still possible ?
maybe a good idea for a lesson “techniques for playing with the Dyna-Mic” 😎🎶🎶
Hope this mic will kick off 😊✌️August 4, 2018 at 9:17 pm #11852
That’s a great Idea. I should definitely do some videos on how to use it to it’s full potential, and I already have this planned. In answer to your question about hand effects. Dyna-Mic’s great tone comes from a combination of its electronics, mic chamber and the gasket system. These factors combined remove the need to use your hands (as you used to with a bullet mic) to get a good sound, thus removing any effect your hands have on the mic. This means a 5 year old can hold it and still get the same awesome sound as a 50 year old!
This does remove the ability for wow and flutter hand effects, however these effects are not easily done on a bullet mic anyhow, and if you are wanting to do these effects in a amplified situation, it’s best to use a stick mic like a SM58 and keep the volume of the band down.
For me the advantages the Dyna-Mic holds very much overshadow any loss of hand effects.
Hope that helps!

Thank you for the explanation i still have one more question:
I have seen there are 2 models to choose from, whish one do you recommend ☺️August 10, 2018 at 12:11 pm #11884
I’d recommend the classic. The classic is the best all rounder dyna-mic, especially if you are going to be using an amp to color the tone and add some ‘dirt’.
The Firebird is best for going direct into a P.A or recording console, as it has extra overdrive built into it.
Does that make sense and help? 🙂
