What do you guys prefer when you amp up? Im never sure what sounds best. Maybe delay gives a bit more depth and reverb gives more range to the sound… I dunno.
Only thing I’m sure of is that too much sounds bad to my ear.
    Thoughts?

No worries henk . In all truth I should also concentrate on playing acoustically an basic skills ,.but it sounds so cool amped up that it’s hard to avoid.

    Hey Ian,

It is preference. And, experimentation to find what works for each song.

Generally speaking I prefer a short ‘slap back’ delay. It adds color and depth when used in the right amount and can be adjusted to fit all tempos. So, If I had to pick one that would be it.

To my ear large reverb sounds seem to work best on slow long stuff, when used on the harmonica.

Here’s a great use of big verb. Little walter – Sad Hours.

    Great tune…
Love the turnaround at about 2 mins then the following 15seconds are gold.

Yeah, short delay gives the body that I like for most stuff, but the lonesome cowboy in me loves reverb 😉
