Hi Jeremiah: Interestingly I have an old Hohner tremulo that was passed on to me when my mother died. I have no idea of its vintage, and prior to discovering it had no idea of its existence. It was in a bottom drawer of a dresser.

I am new to the harmonica and have purchased a number of harmonicas to see if I liked one brand, or a particular key better than any others. My ear lacks sophistication, but I have found that most of the better harmonicas of well known brands, Hohner, Seydel, Suzuki, Lee Oskar, and Fender produce sounds that I find appealing, I am drawn to the keys of Bb and A. This tin ear of mine seems to like the lower keys.

Right now a company, demodealsonline is selling, “Lee Oskar Harmonicas Quick Start Kit for Guitar & Ukulele – 4 Harmonicas + Case + Harmonica Holder” for $69.99 U.S. on EBay.

The Quick Start Kit includes:
 C Major Diatonic Harmonica
 G Melody Maker™ Harmonica
 Am Natural Minor Harmonica
 Am Harmonic Minor Harmonica
 Soft Carry Case
 Harmonica Holder
 16-Page Quick Start Booklet

A number of other companies are offering the kit for the price of $149.99, making the demodeals offering a very good deal. Most vendors are selling these harmonicas individually for $37.99. I thought that this is one of those deals that is too good to be true, but I received the kit and all of the harmonicas sound great. I purchased a second set for my 8 year old grandson and offered them $62.00, which they accepted.

I hope this is of some help. Take care, Ronald James
